Believing God Beyond What We See
As followers of Christ and children of God, empowered by the Holy Spirit, we are called to exercise audacious faith — a faith that believes in the extraordinary power of God working within us.
Throughout the Bible, we see examples of individuals who demonstrated such faith and accomplished remarkable feats.
David faced Goliath with unwavering trust in God’s strength.
Daniel stood firm in the lion’s den.
Abraham trusted God with his son’s life.
Moses, Joseph, Joshua, Enoch, Shammah, Eleazar, Philip, Paul, Naomi, Ruth, Esther — and countless others — all exemplified this kind of faith.
The Reality Behind Their Faith
As we marvel at the wonder of their faith, it is important to remember that they were not people without struggle.
They faced moments of:
- doubt
- uncertainty
- fear
- hesitation
They wrestled with their faith.
They questioned their abilities.
Yet, in their weakness, they found strength in God’s promises.
Their stories remind us that God is patient with our doubts and struggles. He meets us where we are, strengthening and guiding us as we trust Him.
From Admiration to Participation
So the question becomes personal for us.
Do we truly believe that the same power that worked in these heroes of faith also resides within us?
Do we have the audacity to trust God for what may seem impossible from a worldly perspective? This is where faith moves from admiration to participation.
It is easy to admire their stories.
It is another thing to live them.
Faith That Dares to Believe
Audacious faith is the decision to believe God despite our doubts.
It is choosing to trust his promises:
- when circumstances feel uncertain
- when outcomes are unclear
- when the path ahead is not fully visible
It is a faith that dares to believe in God’s boundless power, even when everything around us suggests otherwise.
Each of us is unique, but we serve the same God — a God who is willing and able to turn any situation around for our good and His glory, as we choose to trust Him in all circumstances.
