When the Story Takes a Turn (6 of 8)

Sometimes life takes a turn we never saw coming. A door closes, a plan falls apart, or a path that once felt clear suddenly changes direction.

God’s redirection often comes disguised as disruption. What feels like an unexpected turn may be a necessary shift to bring you closer to his will.

Think of Jonah, whose attempt to run from God led him straight into a storm, a whales stomach and then into a fresh start that fulfilled his true calling.

The turns in your story are not accidents. They are invitations to trust the author of your story, who sees what you cannot.

According to Proverbs 16:9, “In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.”

When your story takes a turn, remember that God is not rewriting in panic; he is realigning you with purpose. Glory!!

Reflection

Can you think of a past moment that felt like a setback but later revealed itself as God’s redirection? What does that memory teach you today?

Declaration

I welcome God’s redirection in my life, trusting that every turn is part of his perfect plan for my life!
