Every life tells a story written by the hand of a loving author, God our Father and Creator. Hebrews 12:2 (KJV) reminds us that Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith. This means he not only begins the story of our salvation but also brings it to completion. His writing is intentional, filled with grace, and guided by love and purpose.
Ephesians 2:10 (NLT) also reminds us that we are God’s masterpieces, created anew in Christ Jesus to do the good things he planned for us long ago. From the very beginning, God designed your life for a purpose. He has been writing your story since before you took your first breath (Psalm 139:16, NIV). Some chapters overflow with joy, others with challenge, yet each one was written with divine purpose. That said, we must also remember that the choices we make matter. When we take the pen from God’s hand, we risk allowing our own desires or even the enemy to influence the storyline.
The enemy seeks to rewrite what God intended for good, distorting truth and sowing confusion. Our free will determines whose words fill the pages. When we take the pen ourselves, confusion and chaos often follow, for there is a way that seems right to a person, but in the end it leads to death (Proverbs 14:12, ESV). When we surrender the blank pages of our lives to God, divine order begins to unfold. He writes with redemption in mind, turning detours into clarity, pain into purpose, and waiting into preparation.
This series is a gentle reminder that no page of our life is wasted, no season unseen, and no ending uncertain if we allow God’s purpose for our life to unfold as he intended.
